The latest from Denver:
Coach Joel Quenneville said after Wednesday’s practice that Paul Stastny is “probably unlikely for this series”, Ryan Smyth is “doubtful for tomorrow” and Peter Forsberg is “being checked out (medically) as well”.
Forsberg did not practice today.
Let’s see - No Stastny, no Smyth, no Svatos, no Wolski, no Clark, no Forsberg. Ah, it’s like February all over again.
Is there any good news? Uh…well…*crickets*…nope.
Meanwhile, Jose Theodore will get the start one more chance to improve his free agency money.

I’ll keep my eye on the press box for the human torch.
What I have seen in the Detroit series in general:
1. no hustle
2. very sloppy passing!!
3. waiting for their forwards to bring to our end rather than seek to retake possession
4. watching the game rather than setting the tone
5. little wreckless abandon - excepting Ryan Smyth
6. little recent creativity on the part of Quenneville
I’ll have to be careful with all the whiskey I’ll be drinking tonight: one dropped match and I might end up as the human torch, Wyatt Smith or no Wyatt Smith.
