Todd White. The center signs with the Thrashers for $9.5 Million over 4 years ($2.375 million per season). That’s a 61% raise over his 2006-2007 cap number with the Minnesota Wild ($1,475,000).
A couple big extensions to report. Joe Thornton adds three years (at $7.2 million a season) after his current contract runs out next summer. Barring a trade (and what team would do that…oh, sorry Boston) that keeps Thornton in San Jose until July 2011. Meanwhile, Jarome Iginla has reportedly agreed to an extension that could keep him in Calgary perhaps all the way until the summer of 2013.
