I, too, think Versus has improved in-house and with picking up The CBC's feed. However, I wish they would find a replacement for Joe Beninati. He growls everytime he talks, and the guy who was calling the Sharks-Wings game last night with Eddie Olczyk was just dull.

I don't really care too much about Boogaard, although I do think Riseborough's excuse was rather lame. My overly dramatic eye rolling is aimed right at Lemaire. I won't even bring up the fact that he said before Game 5 that there'd be no rough stuff from the Wild...and then Boogaard couldn't even wait until the game started before acting like a douche.

Boogaard was told by his GM he was not allowed to participate in the hand shaking because the GM was worried that a brawl would erupt and Boogaard would get blamed.

I find it interesting that the Ducks fans conveniently overlook the fact that their own Teemu Selanne refused to shake hands when the Oilers eliminated them from the playoffs last year.

It is what it is. The Ducks played better and won. They've moved on; you should too.

Yeah Vesus gets a lot of credit for giving all the Bonus coverage on the CBC. That was a really nice touch.

Mad props to Versus for picking up the CBC feeds. Always a pleasure to watch Canadian hockey coverage.

And Jacques Lemaire is pathetic. What a baby.

They are smart enough to purchase CBC / Hockey Night in Canada feeds for back to back game broadcasts. That ups their broadcast watchability by 6 million percent.

Versus is still on notice. Why can't they do the better job they are doing now, in the regular season? I want to like them, but just like the NHL itself, they shoot themselves in the foot when they start walking.

I think the reffing has been decent, with the hooks, holds, and slashes being called regularly. The goalie interference thing is a bit lax, so I would like to hear what they have to say about it.

Everything else I'm with you on.

You can't blame the Sens fans for being cocky. You really can't comprehend how much smoke the local media blows up this team's behind unless you're here to see it.

The local papers have already trotted out their annual "why this year is going to be different" articles (the team always somehow has more leadership than ever before, even though it's the same players every year). The radio guys are trying to figure out whether the Sens have an edge in goal against the Devils, or whether it's merely even. And just in case, Melnyk has already written his annual "wait til next year" letter to the fans.

The Senators have the most loyal fans in all of sports -- in their press box. No reason the rest of the population shouldn't follow along.
