Forsberg is a last-minute scratch tonight against the Leafs. He reportedly was dressed for warmups but is not playing. Rumors are flying that a deal is coming, with Nashville the team most mentioned.

7:40 PM Sportsnet is announcing the deal is official. Forsberg to the Predators for Scottie Upshall, Ryan Parent, a 1st and a 3rd. Parent and Upshall (and Forsberg, for that matter) are former 1st round picks. Nashville give up a lot, but they had gobs of talent - 10 former 1st round picks on their roster.
Oh, and if the Avs do get into the playoffs? Nashville (if the season ended today) would be their opponent.
