  Red Wings jerseys, Senators wordmark released NHL Jerseys | (0)

  Another original 6 team has gotten it right. While the Predators and Panthers follow the credo that second-rate organizations deserve second-rate jerseys, the Red Wings are following the Bruins' they-don't-have-to-be-tacky lead. Detroit's new jerseys look pretty much like their old jerseys. And that's a good thing; if it isn't broke...leave it alone. One "ugh" element: the obnoxious size tag they are adding to front of all the jerseys. Yuck. Meanwhile, the Senators have leaked their new logo, and now have a preview of their new wordmark up as well. Their jerseys will be unveiled on August 22nd. I'm interested to see ...

  Kansas City unveils new jerseys NHL Jerseys | (3)

  Ha ha, I'm so clever. Anywho, the Nashville Predators have unveiled their new unis. I don't quite get it. Why have 2 different logos? That doesn't really make sense to me. One has a wordmark, one doesn't. One has rock concert T-shirt sleeves, one doesn't. I think the white jerseys are stunning (in a good way), while the blue jerseys are an absolute mess. How odd to have such a disparity in the look of your team. Then again, at least the mustard unis are gone.

  No change for Avs uniforms Avalanche Notebook, NHL Jerseys | (6)

  With all the hubub about new jerseys, there's been a lot of speculation about what the new jerseys will look like. Turns out, they're going to look pretty much like the old jerseys (well, except for the absence of the gorgeous third jerseys). This was confirmed in an email from Altitude Authentics (not to me, but I'm pretty confident that it's legit): The Avs jersey will not be drastically different, same logos and looks.   New Columbus jerseys NHL Jerseys | (0)

  The new Blue Jackets jerseys have been unveiled. Tapeleg at Jerseys and Hockey Love got to try one on and has some great photos (I had no idea Manny Malhotra was still around in the NHL). The jerseys look great, especially the civil war shoulder patch. I have to say, I've been pleasantly surprised that the new Reebok EDGE jerseys aren't looking like total ass. The Bruins' unis are gorgeous, and the Blue Jackets' duds are solid. The Capitals? I'm a bit mixed on that one, but they are growing on me a bit. Not quite three home runs, but two ...

  Washington Capitals jerseys NHL Jerseys | (0)

  The red (home) jerseys were leaked the other day. Today is the official unveiling, and now we can see the white (away) jerseys. Not bad. A bit...I don't know...soccerish, but it could have been worse, I guess. Perhaps it is trying to do too much - it's like retro and futuristic all rolled in one. Not quite the slam dunk that Boston's uniforms are, but still not bad.

  I'm a hockey jersey fan. I have a closet full of them. I've lost count, but I think I have at least 30 of them. Needless to say, I've been very nervous about the new jerseys that Reebok is rolling out this year. All kind of rumors have been flying around. All the logos would change. No more stripes on the bottom of the jersey. New, tacky horizontal stripes on the sleeves. New colors, because Reebok couldn't match the existing hues. I keep picturing those horrible, futuristic Turn the Clock Ahead uniforms MLB rolled out a few years ago. And, ...
