Re: Thomas, he won't, believe me, he won't. I've "known" Thomas for quite a few years now on the Av newsgroup. Unlike Theodore, Thomas is very consistent. I often disagree with his views, but appreciate his steadfastedness, if that is a word. And he does seem to keep up with Av prospects. And shares many of ours' dislike of the winged wheel.

"In the postgame they showed Stastny’s goal - Brunette acually tapped that to him in front of the goalie in the middle of that scramble. Brunette continues to amaze me how calm he can be when he is getting beaten up and jumped on around the net."

yeah, that was a really nice play by Bruno. He's excellent with the puck under pressure.

"Seven really good games in a row, and that’s not enough for you to even consider the idea that perhaps you were wrong about him."

you mean he's really been good all this time and none of us noticed? no, of course not. forgive me for expecting him to follow up a good streak with a bad one - all I have to make me think that is his past history. silly me.

look, even though he's starting and doing well, the truth of the matter is that he really shouldn't be starting...Budaj should. But Theo is in there and, with the exception of two mediocre games this weekend, he's doing really really well. I'm happy to see that, and will enjoy the wave for as long as it lasts. That's about all you're going to get out of me, until he puts up, say, 20 games where he looks like an NHL goaltender in at least 15 of them.

I'm not going to apologize for bashing him for playing like ass during the majority of his time here. If/when he turns it around, I'll be happy to give him all the credit in the world.

Umm, did you see the Carolina and Florida games? those weren't good games. He played below-average to poor in both those games, the rest of the team played well in those games.

I'll go on the record and say that Theo has played really well IN THE LAST 6-7 GAMES. Does that mean that DD or myself are "wrong about" Theo and his game? I don't think so. 2+ mediocre seasons in an Avs uni, plus the last year he was in Montreal are not erased in one good stretch. If that's the logic you're using, Ty Conklin is the second coming of Roy...

That you mentioned that he had earned the first star in passing is hardly the credit he deserved for the shutout.

You spend so much fucking time ignorantly bashing the guy for things that aren't his fault, and now you can't even bring yourself to give him the credit he's due for playing a really really good game.

Seven really good games in a row, and that's not enough for you to even consider the idea that perhaps you were wrong about him.

*shakes head*

Keep bashing.
