You know what, I know none of them are really natural centermen, but I'd love to see Lappy and the Mcs on a line together.

First of all, the line nicknames would be great: Lappy and the Mc's the McLappy line, The hit parade, the possibilities are endless.

But on a more realistic note, i don't mind Arny on the team right now. For all his faults, can help put the puck in the net and the Avs desperately need that right now.

i would be sad if McLeod and McCormick returned to Lake Erie, ever. They belong on this team, even if it's as 4th liners.

The main changes need to occur behind the bench. I think this set of personnel is still pretty close. It needs some subtractions (Theodore, Arnason, Skrastins) and some additions (another good 2 way defenseman [ex: Derek Morris], an up-and-coming goalie [ex: Al Montoya]), but really, that's not that much.

If Sakic retires after this season, another top 6 forward will be required as well, say, Hossa on the UFA market. Again, completely doable (if Sakic retires, which may be more likely than we think).

The other plus about Clark being on the point of the power play was that he actually shot the puck…granted a number of those shots got blocked but eventually he’ll find a lane and something good will happen.

yes, absolutely. I had intended to make that point as well, but must have neglected it in my haste. thanks for pointing that out.

I feel bad for Theo right now (and I have never been a fan of him)...He has some how managed to pull his head out and play three pretty good games in a row. But despite his effort the offense is still drinking eggnog in Denver. Wolski and Svatos continue to be dangerous together and are the only bright spot for the offense.

The hitting continues at least, that is until Q decides that McCormick and Mcleod need to be sent back to Lake Erie (at least we might be able to wait 8-12 weeks until we get Sakic and/or Smyth back, since we know Arnason won't go). Keep throwing the darts Q.
