Colorado Avalanche rookie camp begins today, with 27 players taking part (including TJ Hensick and David Jones). I won’t be there, of course, but I’ll be keeping an eye out for reports on this here internet thingy.
And with that, the not-so-long-but-ever-so-dull NHL offseason is coming to a close. Rookie camp runs through Wednesday. Veterans report on Friday and then training camp starts next Saturday. The Burgundy and White game kicks off on Monday and then, less than a month from now, the Avalanche will open their regular season on October 9th against the Bruins.
I’m excited for the season to start, and I think that sentiment is only gowing to increase over the next few weeks.
