Lappy signs extension

The Avs have signed Ian Laperriere to a one-year, $1.15 million extension. That puts Lappy under contract until the end of the 2008-2009 season. This one probably won’t get the negative feedback that the Clark extension did.

What!?! Lappy doesn’t even score many goals. How can the Avs justify spending any money on a player that normally scores less than 75 points a season. Not only does he not score goals, but look at all those penalty minutes. He’s actually hurting the team with all that time he spends in the box.

Face it F.G is completely off his rocker, and just throwing money around like it grows on trees. He’s just leading the Avs driving the Avs down the road of destruction while you sit in the back seat driking his kool-aid. It’s even grape

Lappy wasn’t very good last year, but he’s still serviceable. The $1.15m is a little high, but I would imagine that encompasses what he brings to the locker room as well as the ice. I am fine with that, and I would imagine that everyone else would be as well.

Clark for $3.5m? Just plain stupid.
