It made it all the more exciting (IMHO) with that 5 team battle within our division, not only for playoff spots, but also the Divisional title. I'm sure we'll still have the battles, but they won't be as exciting since they won't mean quite as much.... I wish we could get back to 2 games against every other team in the league again though. I love that we get to see the eastern conference teams at least once (I still would prefer 2 games against all of them every year), and I love the 6 games per division foe. A subtle improvement is that the Avs are getting compensation for their long travel -- they have the least # of back to backs. I don't like the loss of the rivalry games at the end of the year either, and I still think 82 games is a touch too many. all in all though, much needed improvements pretty much everywhere. i’ll steal a page from your book and give the new scheduling a B+.
