We read the other day that Ben Guite was in contract talks with the team, and those talks have resulted in Guite signing a two-year deal. That’s great news in my book; I really enjoyed watching Guite play last year.
Additionally, Cody McCormick signed a one-year deal with the Avalanche. McCormick spent most of last year in the AHL. We probably won’t know until closer to training camp whether McCormick will have a chance to bring his lunch pail to the Avs next year, or if he’ll skating for the Lake Monsters.
I liked Guite too, and think he’s a pretty decent 3rd-4th line player.
