Brad Stuart is not playing tonight. He’s in California where’s been for the birth of his son. Andreas Lilja will play in his place. Stuart’s absence is not comparable to the Wild losing Nick Schultz. Stuart and his shaky defense should be back for game 2.

Detroit fans are not pleased by this. If Stuart isn’t that amazing Lilja must really be in the doghouse.
Lilja is apparently the Red Wing Equivalent of Petteri Nummelin, from what I’ve seen.
