I think the following sums it up rather succinctly:
The Wild looked ridiculous tonight, and leading the way was Stephane Veilleux who somehow managed to come up with cowardly acts of frustration right up to the closing horn. Congratulations, Stephane. On a night when so many of your teammates were making boneheaded play after boneheaded play, you found a way to somehow be the cream of the crop. You were a complete tool tonight. Nicely done.

The tool needs to be suspended for his hit on Stastny. I’ve always thought it is ludicrous that a guy needs to get hurt to warrant a 5-minute major, game misconduct, and a suspension. What Veilleux (evidently French for village idiot) did to Stastny, leaving his feet while hitting him head first into the boards, was as cheap and gutless as they come. So because Stastny gets up, it isn’t even a major? That doesn’t make a damn bit of sense. Screw him. Screw the Wild. What a fricken goon squad they have assembled in Minny, and we haven’t even seen Simon go nuts yet.
Stay classy Minny!
cowards.
Just because of the 2 10-minute misconducts each, Boogard and Veilleux should each sit on a game suspension. The fact that Veilleux took is second AFTER the final horn means he should sit a few more games. Start making these types of actions hurt the team for more than 2:00 of one game and these guys would find a way to not “lose composure”.
