The miracle run has ended, as the Avalanche lost a close game to Peter Forsberg and the Nashville Predators. It’s disappointing, but Colorado has nothing to be ashamed about - they played hard in every single game since the deadline.
The Flames lost, but I wouldn’t put much weight in that. When the Avalanche lost, the Flames were up 2-0, and then seemed to take their foot off the gas almost immediately.
Thank you to the Avs for a terrific, exciting season.

The best part is all the excitement and enthusiasm for next season. Even though we didn’t make the playoffs, we ended the season on a really high note, and with a lot of young up and coming players playing really well.
yes, very true.
And I think this offseason is going to be fun for the team - they are going to have money to make some serious waves in free agency for the first time in years.
one final comment on the game. I don’t know what satanic peon decided that my Center Ice feed would be the FSN Nasvhille feed instead of Altitude’s, but, when I find him or her, I’m going to strap them down and force them to listen to Terry Crisp for 3 hours and see how THEY like it. That was simply excruciating.
that bad huh? i don’t know if this is better or worse.. but I actually got the Altitude announcers.
Not sure if you’re interested but..
