I’m not a huge fan of the pre-deadline rumors, but my ears did perk up tonight while watching HNIC’s Satellite Hotstove when Scott Morrison mentioned that the Kings had been in talk with three teams about Rob Blake - Anaheim, San Jose and Colorado. This despite the talk recently that Blake was not interested in waving his NTC.
While I think Blake is about three years removed from being a top-flight threat at the point, I’ve firmly moved myself into the “beggars-can’t-be-choosers” category. I’d take just about anyone back there right now.

Just like I said originally about Forsberg, it’s time to move on. The Avs can’t live in the past anymore. There’s no reason to acquire Blake, Foote, Forsberg or anybody else who was on the team back in the day. They’re all old and done.
