Jordan Leopold is going to miss 4 weeks with a broken wrist - his 3rd stint on the IR this year. Leopold’s 1st season in Colorado has been an unmitigated disaster. He started the season missing the first 25 games recovering from hernia surgery. He came back for 5 games before missing 17 more with a groin injury. This time around, he made it 10 days before breaking a wrist Thursday against Calgary.
To date, he’s missed 44 games on the season.
For the season, Colorado is 6-8-1 without Leopold and 22-19-3 with him.

I don’t even know what to say!
When we traded Tanguay for him, I was angry as hell, but at least held out hope that he was going to be close to a Scott Niedermayer or a solid first D-man - a rare commodity in this day.
Then I found out he CAME injured. I was even madder.
Then he finally got off IR and played a few games, hardly enough to evaluate his performance, and he was injured. Again. The anger grew back.
Then he got off IR -again- and I actually thought he’d been playing decently in his last few contests. And now he’s injured again.
And this is all in his first season! “Unmitigated disaster” indeed. How’s Alex Tanguay doing? 58 points in 58 games, on pace for his best season of an already great career, helping Calgary play some damn good hockey.
Don’t look now fellas, but we got robbed.
