Is this not maybe the first game the Avalanche have physically indimidated another team?

thanks for totally stealing what I was going to say in my recap!

The power play should be so much better than it is right now.

the Avs have improved on a lot of areas since the start of the season: physical play, faceoffs, defense, goaltending, penalty killing. The one big bugaboo remains the PP.

"Is he not maybe". This could be my new favorite saying, surpassing "must win".

Is this not maybe the first game the Avalanche have physically indimidated another team? I have a lot of constructive critisim about the game but it's the holidays and the Avs keep winning so I'll let sleeping dogs lie.

We haven't seen anything but glimpses of him yet, but David Jones is going to not only be a good to great NHL player but I predict he will wear an alternate captains jersey before it's all said and done. Son of Stastny seems to be the guaranteed next captain. It's really early but Jones offers a lot of subtle signs right now that I might expand on later. I'm really happy with the future of the Avs as a whole.

The stat showing the Avs as one of the top scoring even strength teams is both encouraging and depressing at the same time. The power play should be so much better than it is right now. Q has to get his point men straight and the guys down low will figure it out.

Just wasn't the same listening to the game instead of Hearing it. I agree that Cuminsky needs to create a little more once he gets into the zone. He's got some great moves and he needs to take a few chances when he's got good help behind him.
Way different game than the Rangers game in terms of officiating. Officials are calling everything against the Avs and missing a bunch on Vancouver. The call against Stastny for roughing? Asinine is the nice word for it.
Kudos to the Monsters for keeping this team in the hunt. When we can put three AHL'ers on the ice as a line and they don't give anything up it speaks volumes for our farm system. I will be glad to see Smyth and Sakic back in the line up when it happens, but will be sad to see Mcleod, Jones, McCormick, and Hensick leave when the time comes (if it does). Cuminsky might have the best chance of staying up (baring Leopold finds armor to protect his glass frame). Keep it up guys adn thanks for the early Christmas present. 1st place in the division (at least for a couple of days).
