I touched on the non-goal in the recap this morning. Goal or not, I have no idea how they don't review that one. The only thing I can think is that they were saying they whistled it dead (or "thought about whistling it dead"...love THAT rule) before the puck went in. In that case, it's no goal either way...but even THOSE kinds of plays I've seen them review. I don't get it, nor do I understand why the Avs didn't fight it.

Disappointing loss. Disappointing performance from pretty much every one except maybe Wolski's line (with the exception of Arnason's face off percentage). Hensick did start to show some signs of actually knowing how to play the game...a couple of times I almost thought he was Wolski with the way he was turning and moving with the puck, almost. First line was invisible. Brunette seemed the be the only guy who knew what to do with the puck. Hejduk did take the first shot on Brunettes goal. Hejduk's shot got block and ended up on Brunette's stick and he made another one of those spinning, throw the puck at the net shot. Avs got lucky there.

On the Foy, Voros 2-1 was created due to Liles carrying the puck in deep. He spent half the period behind the Wild net. But at least he was skating hard, thus his ability to get back and disrupt the play, and deposit himself in the net.

The too many men on the ice call??? There sure were too many men, the Wild had a 6th player wearing stripes. If ever I felt there should have been a diving call in a game, Backstrom's "drop like a punter" move should have been a dive. Liles was pushed into him and he folded like a house of cards.

I don't even think Hlinka touched that puck on the no-goal. It was hard to tell but it looked to me like Backstrom just never got a handle on it. Either way, that should be a reviewable situation.
