According to the Rocky Mountain News, goalie Michael Wall and forward Eric Healey were reassigned to the AHL yesterday. This reduces the Avs roster to 31.
Of those 31 players, 4 are currently injured - Jose Theodore (knee), Marek Svatos (groin), Milan Hejduk (groin) and Brad Richardson (wrist). All 4 skated on Sunday, but none practiced and no timetable has been given for anyone’s return, although Theodore “might be available for a part of the preseason finale against Phoenix on Saturday.” Until he is ready, Tyler Weiman will be the backup. Quenneville indicated that Weiman would be sent down to Cleveland once Theodore is ready.
