04.24.08I don’t feel tardy…Note to the Colorado Avalanche: Saturday's game starts at 3pm. Please try to show up on time for this one. The Avs came in a bit late to tonight's contest and, not surprisingly, it cost them. By the time they arrived, it was 4-1 Detroit and Jose Theodore was on his way home. 04.24.08Stuart out for game 1Brad Stuart is not playing tonight. He's in California where's been for the birth of his son. Andreas Lilja will play in his place. Stuart's absence is not comparable to the Wild losing Nick Schultz. Stuart and his shaky defense should be back for game 2.

04.24.08Round 2 predictionsPerhaps the most stunning news from the first round of the playoffs is that I was surprisingly good with my predictions. I got all the winners in the West right and only missed the two series in the East that went to 7 games. I think that sets some sort of personal record for me. Or something. Here are my thoughts on round 2: New York over Pittsburgh in 7: I think this is going to be a wild, back-and-forth series with the Rangers winning game 7 after 8 overtimes.
