04.16.08It’s (still) all about LappyYou know, we all saw the game last night. The way the Wild - and especially Stephane Veilleux - lost control is either pitiful or downright hilarious depending on your mood. (Lately, I'm leaning towards the latter). I figure the Wild fans must be all busy now trying to reconcile the fact that half of their team seems to think that "toughness" is defined by how often you can hit a guy without getting caught, or by how many guys you can get to fight an Avalanche player at once. 04.16.08Game 4: Avalanche 5, Wild 1Well, that was different. After three overtime nail-biters, game four in Denver last night was anything but. After watching a tired Avalanche team struggle through overtime less than 24 hours before, I was worried that Colorado was in real danger of going down 3-1 in the series. Instead, it was the Wild that came out flat, and the Avs were there to capitalize. The Avs took a commanding lead early and then just had to hold on while the Wild lost their composure. The final score was 5-1 Colorado and the series now heads back to Minnesota knotted up at 2. ...

04.16.08Avalanche defeat a bunch of big babiesI think the following sums it up rather succinctly: The Wild looked ridiculous tonight, and leading the way was Stephane Veilleux who somehow managed to come up with cowardly acts of frustration right up to the closing horn. Congratulations, Stephane. On a night when so many of your teammates were making boneheaded play after boneheaded play, you found a way to somehow be the cream of the crop. You were a complete tool tonight. Nicely done.
