  Get well, Mike Haynes Avalanche Notebook | (10)

  Some scary news today: Altitude Sports & Entertainment Network announced today that Avalanche play-by-play announcer Mike Haynes will undergo surgery on a Basilar Artery Aneurysm. He will miss the 2008 Stanley Cup playoffs. I don't know anything about that condition, but a quick google search tells me that it's serious. All the best, Mike. I'm sure I speak for all Avs fans when I wish you a full recovery. In far less important news, John Kelly will join Peter McNab in the broadcast booth during Haynes absence. Kudos to the St Louis Blues and FOX for allowing Kelly to fill in.

  It would be easy for me to write something here like "Keep Forsberg healthy" and that would be it, but that's not how I roll. Also, I actually do believe that there's much more to it than that. Here's what I think is important for the Avs: Steady play from Jose Theodore I want to be clear: Jose Theodore has been very, very good. He carried this team for a good 6 weeks or so earlier in the season, and it's doubtful that I'd be sporting playoff stubble if not for his play. But I've got a few concerns nonetheless. In every ...
