03.13.08Lines tonight (Edm @ Col)The Flames have lost tonight (6-4 to the Thrashers), which has "vaulted" the Avalanche into 1st place at the start of the game. The Avs need to win or get into overtime to stay in first. Mathieu Garon against Peter Budaj tonight. Budaj's last start of the regular season, perhaps? Stastny, Hlinka, Hejduk Sakic, Brunette, Jones Arnason, McLeod, McCormick Wolski, Guite, Laperriere Sauer, Finger Liles, Hannan Cumiskey, Salei Forsberg is still out. Wolski replaces the injured Scott Parker (how sad is that?). Salei returns, but Foote and Leopold are both sidelined. At least one must be close, though, as the Avs sent down Jeff Jillson today.

Calgary and Vancouver both lost in regulation - Calgary to the Capitals and Vancouver to the Ducks. The NW standings going into tonight Calgary, 82 pts, 12 game remaining Colorado, 82 pts, 11 gr Minnesota, 81 pts, 12 gr Vancouver, 80 pts, 12 gr With the way the West is lining up, it seems like the NW teams will be fighting for the 3, 6, 7 and 8 seeds.
