10.28.07Recap: Avalanche 3, Minnesota 1The train is starting to pick up steam. The Avalanche won their 3rd game in a row - all 3 against divisional opponents - beating the Wild today 3-1. The Colorado offense has been struggling to get things going lately, averaging just 3 goals a game in their last 4 games. But their defense and especially their goaltending have tightened up - the Avs have given just 2 goals a game over that same stretch. Jose Theodore put up a .951 save percentage against the Flames on Friday. Peter Budaj topped that by a hair, with a .955 save percentage today. ...

10.28.07Notes: Game 11, Wild at AvalancheWatching the Minnesota feed today – Dan Terhaar and Mike Greenlay, a team I enjoyed very much the last time these teams played. A ton of key injuries tonight for both teams. Pavol Demitra will have to be kissing his stick from the dressing room, as he's out. So is Marian Gaborik and goalie Nick Backstrom. All 3 have groin injuries. For the Avs, Milan Hejduk and Brad Richardson are still out and, of course, Karlis Skrastins and Jordan Leopold are on the IR. 20:00 Starting goalies tonight: Budaj and Josh Harding. 10.28.07Minor RenovationsAstute readers (we have those?) may have noticed some minor alterations to the site - most of them involving the sidebars to the right. I'm still going to be tweaking stuff a little bit, but if you run into any problems please let me know by commenting here. (I already know that the random quote thingy seems to be causing an error in IE - sorry, I don't seem to be smart enough to figure that one out).
