One of my odder quirks is that I actually like the Detroit Red Wings (Hasek and Chelios excluded). So, it won't be too difficult for me to pull for them tonight. For the rest of you? Yeah, it's going to be odd. Detroit takes on Calgary tonight in Calgary, and, of course, Avalanche fans are hoping for a Detroit win - just this one time.
One added wrinkle is that the Wings are currently in a race with Nashville and Anaheim for 1st overall in the West. If the Avs get in, we'll probably face one of those three. I think ...
